Vishwa Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the Embassy of India in Kyiv on January 10, 2017 with a lot of fervour. Nearly 50 Hindi students from the Taras Shevchenko National University, Kyiv Linguistic University and Kyiv Gymnasium of Oriental Languages No. 1 attended the function and actively participated in providing a cultural programme completely based in Hindi.
Mr. Manoj K. Bharti, Ambassador of India to Ukraine, spoke on this occasion regarding spreading the use of Hindi not only in India but all over the world. He said that the use of Hindi is going to be used more and more in the coming days and in international meetings. Certificates were handed over to the winners of Hindi Essay competition of 2ndyear, 3rd year, 4th year and Master’s degree students of these two universities. Certificates of recognition were also given all the teachers involved in teaching of Hindi in Ukraine.
